Sound On Sound Review: iamReverb gets the spotlight!

At iamReverb Audio, we set out to create a reverb plug-in that would bring a new level of natural authenticity to music production. Today, we’re proud to share that our mission has been recognized in one of the most respected publications in music production: Sound On Sound (SOS). In their June 2025 issue, SOS editor in chief Sam Inglis took an in-depth look at iamReverb—and his verdict? “A very fine reverb plug-in indeed.”  We’re excited to share some of the highlights with you here.

The review highlights our Enhanced Reverb Modelling (ERM) technology, which is designed to preserve the richness and realism of impulse responses with a new level of detail and intimacy. Sam Inglis noted „a liveliness to the reverberation that I’ve not encountered in other plug‑ins“ and a sound that „simply feels more present and immediate, even for large spaces“. Sam also appreciated our straightforward user interface, describing it as “simple and highly effective”. This is exactly what we had in mind, when we designed iamReverb around its three distance controllers: to empower creativity without slowing down workflow.
